Yemeni drone strikes hit King Khalid airbase in Khamis Mushayt

ASIR -The Yemeni army carried out fresh bomb-laden drone attacks against King Khalid airbase in Asir, in the south of Saudi Arabia, on Tuesday, army spokesman Yahya Sare’e said in a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency.

“The Qasef-2K drones accurately targeted military facilities and aircraft hangars in the airbase in Khamis Mushayt, causing a suspension in the air traffic,” spokesman Yahya Sare’e said.

Sare’e added the airstrikes come in retaliatory response to the war crimes and violations against the Yemeni people.

Earlier in the day, the army fired a batch of ballistic missiles of the type Badr-1, at military sites in Najran regional airport, hitting the targets directly.

Khamis Mushayt airbase has been hit numerous times over the past months in Yemeni retaliatory strikes, amidst a near total inability by Saudi Arabia to intercept the missile and drone strikes.
