STC militias raid house of pro-Hadi police chief in Aden




ADEN -Militias of the so-called UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council have raided the home of a security official loyal to the Saudi-backed government in the southern port city of Aden early Tuesday, local sources reported.

According to local sources, members of the UAE-backed militia stormed the house of Colonel Nasser Abad, who was appointed by the so-called Interior Minister of the Hadi regime as director of the Khor Makser police department

The sources indicated that the STC’s militias tried to arrest Abad, but interventions prevented this.

The Southern Transitional Council Militia has been carrying out arrests against a number of military and security leaders, activists and politicians loyal to the coalition-backed government since early August.

As part of the ongoing conflicts, a top leader in the so-called Support Brigades, Colonel Ali Askar of the separatist forces has survived an assassination attempt in Aden on Monday.

According to the sources, gunmen opened fire towards Colonel Ali Askar while he was passing by his car near al-Rehab roundabout in al-Arish area of Khor Makser district.
