President al-Mashat meets to discuss National Vision plan

SANA'A - President of Yemen Mahdi al-Mashat has on Tuesday met Mohammed al-Nuaymi and Secretary Dr. Yasser al-Houri, both members of the Supreme Political Council.

During the meeting, al-Nuaymi and al-Houri briefed the President on the steps that have been accomplished in the preparation of the first phase plan of the National Vision for Building the Modern Yemeni State 2019-2020, as well as the performance of the government agencies and institutions and their commitment to the planning guidelines and the time-frame.

The President stressed that the plan should be comprehensive and realistic, and should achieve the foundations contained in order to meet the aspirations of the Yemeni people in building a modern, strong and fair state.

The National Vision document was launched several months ago as a plan to boost the welfare of the Yemeni population. Amongst other matters, the National Vision includes plans for lifting people out of poverty, uplift the position of women in society and creating a modernised workforce
