Defence Minister vows that attacks against Saudi targets will intensify

SANA'A - The Defence Minister of Yemen, Major General Mohammed Al-Atafi, has said on Tuesday that the coming stage of the response to the US-Saudi aggression will be decisive and that it will "help the Yemeni people."

He pointed out that "there is a lot of manufacturing capabilities that the enemy does not know about, which will enhance the army's ability to intensify its targeting of the vital targets listed in the depth of the enemy."

In a statement for the Yemeni news agency Saba, Al-Atafi vowed to the US-Saudi aggression that a" harsh response in the depth of its territory" would come, specifically in targeting its vital facilities.

He said that "we will destroy and dismantle their [Saudi] forces more than ever if the aggression is not stopped and the siege is not lifted."

The Minister of Defence also called on all the "deceived and seduced" to "return to the homeland, which can accommodate all Yemenis, from Al-Mahra to Sa'ada."

He encouraged them to seize the opportunity presented by the general amnesty issued by the country's Supreme Political Council.

He threatened the aggression, which has become very close to collapsing, stating that "it will pay a heavy price for the heinous crimes committed against our people," including the strike in Dhamar prison

He also affirmed that the course of events, with its new developments, points to the victory of the Yemeni people and their strategic choices in freedom, pride, dignity, sovereignty, unity and independence.
